“We love songs you can sing, but they still have space for improvisation within jazz and world music.”
The band was founded in 2016 and by a Slovakian drummer and composer. Unique combination of
musicians of various genres combined their abilities to cross the boundaries of music and to interpret original compositions as naturally and musically as possible.
Although the band is a traditional combination of instruments, such as drums, bass, piano and violin, the sound is unique due to the colorful expressions of individual players.
Their debut CD has been released in 2018. Light melodic to pop lines are processed with decent jazz arrangements with space for improvisation.
In 2020 band engaged fantastic singers, Veronika Harcsa from Hungary, and Susanna Jara from Poland. This resulted in an Album called „Light Outside”, recorded in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
Both CDs were nominated in Slovak jazz survey for best jazz album.
Their former compositions were also awarded in various festivals in Slovakia, Poland, and Bulgaria.

"Light Outside" is exciting release from Slovakian jazz composer/producer Marek Szarvas. Odd time signatures, exotic vocal harmonies, and angular melodies are the hallmarks of this exquisitely crafted piece of jazz/pop fusion. Borrowing from multiple jazz disciplines, Marek creates a unique and worldly palette of sound that defies genre and sets its own musical boundaries. Gorgeous female vocals weave a tapestry of vocalize and poetic lyrical content. Incredibly engaging on so many levels, "Light Outside" is an easy recommendation to any jazz or world music aficionado.
